Half Pint grew up in a musical family where he was surrounded by the sounds of reggae and ska from an early age. His first exposure to the music industry came when he was just 12 years old and he recorded a single for the Studio One label.
In the late 1970s, Half Pint began to gain popularity in Jamaica's dancehall scene, and he recorded a string of hit songs that helped establish his reputation as one of the most talented young artists in the country. One of his most well-known songs is "Greetings", which was released in 1986 and became a major hit in Jamaica and beyond.
